Roof Moss Removal
If your roof has large, puffy moss, we will remove it by hand using brushes. This is a labor-intensive process, but getting moss off your roof is important to curb further damage. If done too often it can wear on composite roofs—which is why we recommend regular preventative moss treatment so you stay ahead of moss growth. This service is very common on composite roofs. Not as common on tile or shake roofs, due to their irregular surfaces.
Moss Treatment
This does not clean your roof, but should be done following any roof cleaning on composite roofs to inhibit future moss growth, and as a preventative measure every one to three years, depending on your roof. Gentle Roof Wash
Our proprietary cleaner is used to loosen dirt, algae, mold, and mildew from the shingles, and then the roof is washed with water to flush away the debris. This process is very effective for cleaning composite and shake roofs. If you want to spruce up the look of your home because your roof looks dingy or you are getting your home ready for sale, this will boost the curb appeal of your home. On shake roofs, this can be followed by a linseed oil treatment to extend the life of the shakes. Our trained crews make sure you, and your animals and plants are safe.
Green Clean Wash
A popular choice for both composite and shake roofs. Oxygen-based cleaner is used to lift dirt, algae, mold, and mildew from the shingles, and then the roof is washed with water to flush away the debris. This process will also enhance the curb appeal of your home. On shake roofs, this can be followed by a linseed oil treatment to extend the life of the shakes. This process is very environmentally friendly, and safe for humans, animals, and plants.
Algae Wash
Sometimes algae blooms in patches in areas with extra water, like right under the bottom of a downspout or where a gutter empties on to your roof. We can spot wash just these areas with our algae wash service. This is not a full roof wash. How can you tell if you have algae? Algae is not puffy like moss, and looks like a green or dark sheen on your roof.
Pressure Washing
Gets tile roofs really clean and is the best method for cleaning tile roofs. We do not pressure wash composite roofs, as it will destroy the composite shingles. It’s an option for cedar shake roofs, but it is really hard on the wood shakes.
Roof Blow Off
Removes only loose debris using air pressure from blowers. This is included as part of our gutter cleaning service for nearly all roofs. As a stand-alone service, this is most often used if you have gutter covers and don’t want a full gutter cleaning. It won’t clean out between cedar shakes.
