We have beautiful homes and wonderful history here in Portland. One of our favorite homes to have worked on is this one where the poet Hazel Hall lived.
Hazel Hall was a nationally famous poet who lived the last years of her life in a small room in Northwest Portland. She looked out on her world, rainy and gloomy much of the time through small diamond-shaped windows from her second story room, but dreamed dreams of poignant beauty and put them to paper. We had the opportunity to clean the gutters and treat moss on this beautiful historic Portland home. On the grounds are three plaques inscribed with her poems. Well worth a visit when you are in NW Portland: 106 NW 22nd Place, Portland, OR.
